Rock/Alternative/Indie
In just two years, LifeInJersey have established themselves as the dominant force in the Kansas City music scene, and the numbers speak for themselves. After releasing the 5-song EP 'Skeletons' in May of 2007, the band was selected to compete against five other bands for a spot next to the Used and Shiny Toy Guns at the annual Buzz Beach Ball sponsored by 96.5 The Buzz, and in a contest determined by listener voting, LifeInJersey won...... by 18,000 votes.
Since forming in 2005, LifeInJersey has already shared the stage with numerous national acts such as The Used, Shiny Toy Guns, Story of theYear, Anberlin, Perry Farrell's Satellite Party, A Change of Pace, Halifax, Jonezetta, Showbread and The Showdown to name a few. The band was also featured as one ofthe top 20 finalists (out of 2,000 + entrants) for Fuse TV's 'getmeloaded' contest, and they were featured as live guests on Kansas City's 96.5 the Buzz Homegrown show.
Thanks to the band's impassioned live show, unique ability to connect with fans, and aggressive self-promotion, LifeInJersey has developed a loyal fan base that continues to grow. In addition to blowing away the competition in The Buzz Beach Ball battle, the band has sold over 1,500 copies of the 'Skeletons' EP to date with no distribution.
With momentum gaining fast, LifeInJersey want nothing more than to play rock music for the rest of their days while remaining true to their roots, loyal to their fans, and dedicated to bringing the hope inside of them to anyone willing to listen. The numbers don't lie, and LifeInJersey is a band that cannot be ignored.
